Ellen McArthur Foundation Video: Eliminate Waste & Pollution

The term circular economy has exploded in popularity in recent years, as it is currently the most popular and most widely searched online that it has ever been. Despite the increase in popularity, it is still a complex concept for many to understand right away.

The Ellen McArthur Foundation has been at the forefront of spreading and educating knowledge, resources, & tools focused around the circular economy. They have organized three core principles of the circular economy which are:

  1. Eliminate waste and pollution

  2. Recirculate products and materials (at their highest value)

  3. Regenerate nature

This video that they’ve shared does an excellent job of concisely explaining & visualizing the importance of the first core principle. If we think of waste generation as a running faucet, this first core principle of the circular economy is about finding ways to turn the faucet off.

We hope this video is informative and insightful! For more resources about the circular economy, make sure to check out the Ellen McArthur Foundation’s website, or check out other Articles & Resources on our blog!
